Tutoring

Need help with ACC 201 or ACC 202? Beta Alpha Psi members are proud to offer free tutoring in BEH 400 during the following times:

Beta Alpha Psi Fall 2009 Tutoring Schedule
Monday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday None

**Tutoring is scheduled from September 2 to December 4**

Bring your questions to BEH 400 and we will be happy to help. We have solutions manuals and the knowledge of our members to help you understand the basics of accounting.

Note: We offer tutoring for ACC 201 and ACC 202 only!

Beta Members:

Members must complete a minimum of 4 tutoring hours per semester. These hours count towards service hours but, will not count as a group service activity.

Members who miss more than one scheduled tutoring session without providing the tutoring director prior notice will be removed from any future sessions and will be unable to sign up for additional sessions.

To sign up for tutoring, fill out the sign-up sheet outside the Beta office (BEH 400).
If you cannot make it to any beta-sponsored tutoring sessions, you need to arrange for your own tutoring hours. You may tutor any student, in any subject, as long as you are not getting paid for your time. Put up a note on the board outside of BEH 400 or a flyer in Beam Hall to advertise your services. Contact professors of ACC 201 and 202 to see if they can find any students for you. Report these hours using the link to our reporting system on the left.
Intimidated by the mere thought of having to tutor a stranger? Don't be. You know a lot more than you think you do, and helping others learn something is surprisingly easy and rewarding. Your unique point of view may be just what another student needs to understand a difficult concept.
Still intimidated? Sign up with an officer or another experienced member. He or she will be happy to help you through it.
