Requirements: Due to the number of students that can attend, attendance will be based on the criteria below and on a first come, first serve basis:
1. Students must have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.2 Major GPA to attend
2. Students must be 2009 Graduates interested in Full Time opportunities

Professional Activities

Each candidate, initiate, and member must participate in at least three (3) Beta Alpha Psi-sponsored professional programs and must report a minimum of 10 hours of professional activity. All hours are measured in 50-minute hours.

Mock Interviews

An incredible opportunity has arisen for the Fall 2008 semester. Each student will participate in three interviews with professionals from a variety of public accounting and corporate organizations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Zappos.com, BDO Seidman, DeJoya Griffith & Company, RSM McGladry, and others.

Each interview will total 25 minutes in length, and will include true-to-life interview questions and a 5 to 10 minute critique of your responses, personal presentation, and resume/transcripts. The focus of the program will be on providing feedback and guidance that you can use to improve your interviewing skills.

On the night of the interviews students will be broken into two groups. The first group (Group 1) will begin interviewing at 4:15 PM with the last interview being held from 5:45 to 6:15 PM. The second group (Group 2) of interviews will begin at 6:45 PM with the last interview for that group being held from 7:45 to 8:10 PM.

Time: 4:15 PM - 8:10 PM, Group 1 starts at 4:15 PM & Group 2 starts at 6:45 PM

- Graduation date of December 2008 through August 2010
- Working towards a BS or MS with a Major or Minor in Accounting
- Able to work in the United States
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0

Service Activities

Each candidate, initiate, and member must participate in at least one Beta Alpha Psi group service activity and must report a minimum of 10 hours of service activity. All hours are measured in 50-minute hours.

Come help build a house or restore a home for those in need. The event will be split into two groups. The first group will begin at 7:30 AM, and the second group will begin at 2:30 PM. Only 40 members and 40 professionals can attend, so sign up now!

REQUIRED

Provide your accounting expertise to ACC 201 and ACC 202 students by tutoring. Our spring tutoring schedule is as follows:

Monday:
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Tuesday:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
and
2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Wednesday:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
and
2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Thursday:
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Tutoring begins September 1st and ends on December 4th!

You may also fulfill your tutoring requirements by tutoring outside of our tutoring lab. Those hours will be considered non-Beta service hours.
